The Parish Council has nine members who are all unpaid volunteers and give up their time for the benefit of the village. The Parish Council meets in the GP Surgery (Village Hall, Chapel Road, Isle of Grain, ME3 0BY) at 7 pm on the last Tuesday of every month (except August and December). In addition, there is a Finance Committee and a General Purposes Committee which meet quarterly.

The Parish Council is consulted on all planning applications within the parish and these are discussed at the regular Parish Council meetings.
